Creative.gd: Hold a Contest and Get the Best Logo, Graphic, Design for the Project!

Creative.gd is a marketplace for designers and clients who want some designing work to be done. How is it different from other sites like DeviantArt, etc.. ? Well it does one thing, i.e. getting the job done and it does it WELL!

As a blogger I spend most of the time online either reading or writing something or helping people out with their stuff online and I mostly end up getting some graphics design job done for friends and contacts.

DeviantArt is one of the places where I mostly outsource my projects but I was always on the lookout for better forums to get the work done.

Creative.gd is one of the better places I was looking for as it gives me the flexibility to choose from several designs which DeviantArt does not offer.

Creative.gd runs on a concept of “Contests”, every Job/Project is treated as a contest which once posted, designers will try and win the contest by submitting their creative, and the best one wins!

Clients will have to describe the project and their requirements and also set a contest price which they have to pay in advance. The site holds the price paid by the client with ESCROW and releases it to the designer only once the winner is announced.

I browsed through the recent projects listings and I saw some good designs from designers like mei_chuen, Ranjan, designspixel, etc..

For example one of the contests I looked into was VOaudition.com’s Logo where the winning price (project price) was $175 which is very reasonable for a professional logo.

Among many others the following logos where submitted by the participants (designers)

The most important thing for a site like Creative.gd to grow is that it should continue to attract great talent like the designers who designed the logos above!

Clients will obviously choose a concept like Creative.gd over a site like DeviantArt as it offers them choice which is very important!

Overall I think it’s a great service and has a lot of value to offer to the designers and clients, both. So if you are a designer and looking for graphic design jobs or a client with a graphic design job, Creative.gd is where you sould be!
