iPhone 3.0 OS Ever since Apple released the OS 3.0 (7A341) update for iPhone/iPod Touch yesterday, there have been a raging number of downloads all over the web. Why not we take a look at what’s new from Apple to tempt iPhone users in this update?

The iPhone 3.0 OS Software Update includes a host of new features against the existing iPhone OS Software that are designed to enhance the efficiency of your iPhone as well as to ease the use of access.

Cut, copy and paste: The iPhone 3.0 OS release features a cut, copy and paste function. Other additions in the update include access to innumerous subscription-based applications from the Apple Online Store, push notifications, applications aimed at accessories, the ability to forward and delete multiple messages at one go and better map integration including turn-by-turn directions besides support for 30 languages and more than 40 keyboard layouts and the list goes on.

As Apple had promised, the Apple iPhone 3.0 OS Update is free for all the original iPhone owners as well as the current iPhone 3G while iPod Touch users will have to shell out $10 for the update. If you wish to update your device, just use the USB dock connector to plug it into your computer, then load iTunes 8.2 and install the iPhone 3.0 update through it.
