Project Natal for Xbox 360 – Do You Believe it? It’s the Best Thing in the Gaming Industry!
![]() |
Microsoft recently announced its latest innovation in the game industry which will completely change the way we play, just like Nintendo’s Wii!
Project Natal is based on the same concept of motion sensing as Nintendo Wii is but without any controllers. This technology is capable of facial, motion and voice recognition at a deeper level than anything we’ve seen in the past.
This means you will be able to play Soccer, race in a F1 car or shake a leg, all of this without any controllers or accessories on you! Simply stand in front of the screen and start enjoying the latest innovation in the world of gaming.
How it works?
“Natal” is a device which is compatible with any Xbox 360 System. Its sits under the display screen and tracks movements, facial expressions and even emotions in the players voice and responds accordingly.
Watch the following video which shows the technology in action with the help of a virtual character called “Milo”!
Now you know how the technology really works. If you thought you’ve seen it all, watch the following video to see how Xbox 360 plays with this technology, pretty cool!
Now start imagining the kind of things that are made possible using Natal. Games will be more interactive than ever, social gaming will touch new heights and attract far more audience than ever before.
It might definitely be a Wii inspired technology but with obvious cutting edge improvements. Lionhead forums are already growing curious to know if the existing games will be made Natal compatible but there is no official word yet.
Microsoft did not confirm any launch date or price tag for the device yet but it called it “Technology of Future” which might hit stands in 2010.
