Acer AspireOne D150 an Upgrade to AspireOne Netbook
Acer AspireOne D150 is the new generation of Netbooks offered by the Acer. D150 does not offer huge upgrades over AspireOne but it certainly offers better options over previously popular AspireOne.
The first noticeable difference on AspireOne D150 is its bigger screen size @ 10.1’. AspireOne D150 offers a better processor – N280 (1.68 GHz, 667 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache) compared to N270 (1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache) on AspireOne.
Both the models come with 512 MB RAM but AspireOne D150 supports up to 2GB memory in total, Storage is up from 120GB to 160GB, AspireOne D150 weighs 1.18 kg on 3-cell battery pack and 1.33 kg for a 6-cell battery pack which is slightly heavier than AspireOne.
Battery power remains the same, keeps the machine running for up to 7 hours.
AspireOne D150 is available on Amazon starting at $329 and is available for about Rs. 21,000/- in India. It hasn’t completely hit the stands in India yet but should be available soon. Click here to download the D150 brochure or here to visit the prodcut page.
I am a huge fan of Netbooks, the small machines are easy to carry while travelling and certainly serve the purpose of being truly mobile.
