Sabrent TV-USBSabrent TV-USB20 is one of the latest editions to Sabrent line of products. This compact and nice looking gadget turns any Notebook and PC into a fully functional Television.

The best thing I liked about this gadget is that it’s a USB based product. SabrentTV-USB does not require any external power and can be attached to any notebook or PC unlike the traditional TV tuner cards which do not have the plug and play functionality that makes it tough to switch between computers.

Once up and running, Sabrent TV-USB lets you watch live TV and record the same simultaneously on your notebook or PC. It also offers additional features such as pausing live TV, Scheduling a recording, offers output in multiple MPEG formats, etc..

Sabrent TV-USB is known to work on XP SP2 (and above) flawlessly but needs a little bit of additional configuration and softwares  for a smooth run on Windows Vista. Sabrent TV-USB captures video at 30 frames/second at a max resolution of 720*480.

The following video was played and recorded using Sabrent TV-USB. The video should give you a good idea of what to expect in terms of video quality on PC or a Notebook.

Another good thing about Sabrent TV-USB is its price tag. So, if you like what you see, buy it! It’s available on Amazon for $30, click here to buy.

Just fed up with my TV Tuner. Nice to know it has USB interface.

PS: I have added you on digg. Its would be nice of you to add me back.

Only supports NTSC so have fun watching a blank screen in two months. The Video in could still be useful but not TV Tuner.

Might be true in certain places but not all!
