How about a simple gadget that doubles up as a Wi-Fi detector and doesn’t even look like one. Here is a regular ball pen which detects Wi-Fi signals on the go. It detects and displays the signal strength with 4 LEDs indicating the signal strength which meets the requirement of IEEE802.11B/G.
