Apps Bought on Windows Mobile MarketPlace can be Retuned for Full Refund. Take that Apple!

It is never too late to learn new tricks of the trade and this time around Microsoft is hard at it. First of all the whole MarketPlace thing is completely new to Microsoft and it is still figuring out how to best run it to benefit Windows Mobile Users. Right from charging the developers to submit their application to again ~~charge them for submitting updates of the same application.~~

If that was not enough, take this, even if the application is free for download, developer has to pay $99 for submitting it to the MarketPlace.

A new video has surfaced recently which shows; much talked about “Windows MarketPlace” in action and also reveals some important information about its way of business. The video states that in case users do not like the application they can return the application and get full refund.

I had very little interaction with Microsoft’s way of business years ago and one thing I clearly learned about Microsoft is that it puts its users first and money, next. It is clearly visible in the way they are planning to run MarketPlace as well, however, if terms and conditions are not conducive enough for developers I don’t see why or what encourages them to submit their apps to MarketPlace.

Before you think MarketPlace is not here to stay, take this, Microsoft is working very closely with the developer community and improving on MarketPlace’s terms and conditions and way of business. A good example of this would be that Microsoft has decided to let the developers submit their applications updates to MarketPlace free of charge.

I am sure the company will iron out such issues before Windows MarketPlace is up and running.
