Time is running out as you read through this article, Conficker Virus is programmed to trigger an unknown action at midnight, 1st of April.

The security experts haven’t been able to figure out what this action will be, but, they know that it is capable of stealing a lot of personal information such as PC Passwords, Online Account Passwords, Credit Card Information, Bank details, etc.. . At this point it is only known that the virus will contact several sites on the internet to get a set of commands to act upon.

It could also unleash attacks on popular sites on the internet using millions of infected computers around the world.

On the other hand Conficker Virus is also expected to be the biggest April Fool prank ever played with the tech community, but, what if it’s not?

I definitely wouldn’t take any chances and hope that I am part of the prank, I’d rather be prepared and so should you.

Microsoft released several patches for Operating System (O/S) versions can be infected by Conficker Virus, these patches seal the security holes Conficker attacks and secures your machine. Visit this page and download the one which applies to the O/S you are currently using.

In addition, I’d also recommend you to update your antivirus softwares. In case you don’t have one you can download and use one of these free antivirus softwares.

Let’s hope it’s nothing more than a prank.
