Google Launched Venture Fund – Wants to Invest in the Next “Facebook”, “Twitter”

Google Ventures

Google is all set to become a Venture Capitalist. Just announced Google Ventures invites potential entrepreneurs to share their ideas and concepts with them and if they see potential, Google will invest in your business.

Google’s Venture fund is interested in investing in the young technology companies which have the potential of becoming the “next big thing”. It clearly says on the site that the business or the company they invest in does not have to be a potential Google acquisition; it just has to be smart and promising to win the investment.

This certainly looks like a great opportunity for the Start-ups but it most definitely will play in Googles favor in the long-term as they might end up investing in the next “Facebook” or “Twitter” which makes lives at Google much easier.

If you think you are one of the next big things.. Click here to visit to find out more about the fund and here to contact Google Ventures.

Great idea. It is an initiative that will definitely attract some interest. Getting an investor is very hard these days. Everyone is sceptical. I guess if they have money they should invest.
