SlideRocketSliderocket is one of the very few paid online presentation applications. The application was launched in the last quarter of 2008 and has been seeing a steady growth since then.

As Sliderocket is built on Adobe’s Flex technology, it offers many features which help you add animation, effects, transitions, etc.. to the presentation to make it look better.

The best way to explore the features of the application is to use it. I put together 5-6 quick slides about Technology Nerd to see how it really works (use the full screen feature for a better view of the presentation).

Once the presentation is created it can be publish it to the web, invite viewers by sending emails or send invitations to attend a meeting.

The meeting view shows the list of attendees who are viewing the presentation with you. The owner of the presentation can also view the stats to see the number of views, etc..

The presentation can be saved on the computer in PPT format using the export feature, however, I found the animation and effects lose the formatting completely. This is where Sliderocket’s offline player comes in handy.

Using the offline player, presentations online can be cached on the local computer to be played later.

All the features I discussed so far are the features I expect any online presentation application to offer.

What puts SlideRocket ahead of its competition is its approach to the application. SlideRocket partners with other agencies and content providers to deliver a complete product.

Features like adding images from Flickr or buy graphics from Fotolia, PresentationPro, Andertoons, etc.., hiring a professional designer to work on the presentation or simply ordering a print of the presentation is just clicks away.

Users need to buy credits from Sliderocket before they buy pictures, hire a designer or order prints of their presentations.

Users can use the service for free on trail basis for a month after which they can upgrade to an Individual plan starting at $10 a month or $20 a month/user for a business account. Click here to register.
