Go around New York with Google Maps for Mobile and Stop by at NYC Information Center!

New York Mayor announced a partnership with Google maps to create www.NYCGO.com. The site has Google maps on most of its pages that help you look-up your next rendezvous point. Not only that but it lets you SMS it to yourself or to someone else with the link which has the directions to the place.

I personally am a great fan of Google Maps and GPS services because they make your life easier to the extent that you don’t feel like a stranger in city or country you’ve visited for the first time. I experienced this first hand when I visited US sometime ago.

The mobile application works on iPhone, Blackberry or anyother smartphone. The application can be downloaded here.
