Picasa Uploader for Facebook: Upload photos from picasa to facebook [How to]
One important feature of all social networking sites is their ability to allow users to upload and share photos and face book has taken it to new levels with tagging feature. Also with exclusive photo uploading sites like Picasa you get a very limited space. Same applies to Flickr (100 MB per month). However, with social networking sites there is not limit.
Face book allows you to upload unlimited amount of photos. One draw back however is that they don’t come with a dedicated desktop client to upload photos. Of course those days are gone and now there are third part uploaders for these sites and today we are going to see how we can use Picasa to upload photos to Facebook.
Picasa is a very powerful photo organizer and uploader and best of all it’s free. Now if Picasa had capabilities of uploading photos to your facebook profile it’d make the life so much more easier. You can now upload photos from your Picasa on to Facebook using a plugin. This plugin is called as PicasaUploader.
1. You’ll need Picasa of course and you can get it from here.
2. Next you’ll need to install the PicasaUploader plugin. You can get it from here.
3. Click on Install plugin. Make sure Picasa is selected and click OK.
4. Picasa will be launched and you’ll be asked to confirm. Click Yes.
5. Configure Buttons Window will pop-up. Just select Facebook and click add.
6. Restart Picasa
7. Click Ok to finish adding the PicasaUploader button for Facebook. It’ll look something like this:
That’s it next time just select the image(s) and click the Facebook button to upload photos.
I am sure this helps making uploading photos to facebook easier compared to the web interface.
