Windows 7 is all over the place. I don’t see a day going by where I don’t receive any news on Windows 7 and I’d be surprised if that would happen. With the leaked pre-beta version of Windows 7, a lot of people got their hands on it and this gave a surge to the number of blog posts about Windows 7. Do I smell something? Could this leak of pre-beta be a known and deliberate move by Microsoft? You never know about the corporate strategies.

There’s been also a lot of effort in trying to crack the new version of Windows for a longer period of evaluation than the default 30 days. What this means is that you can only use the leaked pre release version Windows 7 only for 30 days as of now or by using the rearm hack you can make. But there’s a good news now. You can use the Windows Vista beta and RC product key to activate Windows 7 beta version too (working on both Windows 7 build version 6801 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) editions).

The bad news is that most of these keys have been blacklisted and don’t work with Windows 7 but if you are lucky you can search for such keys on Google. However, there’s hope now for people who want to activate their Windows 7. There’s a list of 15 keys which can be used for multiple activation and hence are called as Multiple Activation Keys (MAK).
