Can we get enough of iPhone? I guess not. It’s been a sensational product that has swept people off their feet. And now there’s another reason to buy an iPhone. One of the most famous games of all time, Quake could soon hit the iPhone as it’s been submitted on Apple store already and is awaiting approval. ZodTT, has submitted a free port of Quake to Apple store.

Right now the game doesn’t have accelerometer support, but has been taken off as it makes it too hard to play the game while maintain the position of the game. Once approved,it will be updated to include network play, mods/downloadable content, and more! Check out the following video.

Apart from the first person blood shed you won’t even miss the sound of quake. It’ll be a free download for all iPhones and iPod touch. All the controls are screen based. The fun part would be once you’ll have the multiplayer option. I am not sure how many colleges and educational institutes will suffer from this .
