StumbleUpon Gets Smarter: Now stumble without the stumbleupon toolbar

One of the world’s first Web services which identified how we, human beings browse, just keeps fascinating us with the features it keeps adding. If you are wondering what this company is, then the answer is StumbleUpon. StumbleUpon as we all know is driven by the concept of wisdom of crowd and can be a great place to find similar services/sites.

If you haven’t used StumbleUpon then I must say that you are not a web addict and you should try it right away. It’s a great service to help you discover new sites in a particular category. I am totally addicted to and in my free time just keep stumbling. It integrates wonderfully well with FireFox and has a toolbar.

However, the purpose of this post is to let our users know that StumbleUpon has added a new feature. The feature is a javascript based toolbar that can run from within any browser. You no longer have to install the toolbar to stumble you favorite sites. The javascript based button runs from within the page. It looks something like this:

I am sure this feature will greatly be appreciated as I can stumble from any computer. However, this feature doesn’t make the toolbar redundant as toolbar is much more advanced.
