Realnetworks recently launched its controversial software which lets users copy their DVD content to PC’s, Laptops or media players.
I was surprised at the RealPlayer Plugin which lets users download videos from any flash based player on the internet. That was not the end of it; RealDVD lets users copy all the DVD content from the DVD to a computer.
Copying a movie from DVD is as simple as inserting the DVD in the DVD drive, launching the RealDVD application and clicking on COPY; didn’t I tell you it was simple?
The software also offers features like Information on each DVD from Gracenote, Cast information, etc.. As RealDVD gathers information such as gener, cast members, MPAA ratings for every DVD copied using RealDVD it makes it possible for you to pull movies based on type, Comedy, Action, etc..
One thing you should know about RealDVD is that the content of the DVD which is copied to a specific location on the computer or a laptop is locked in that location. It does not let you move or copy the content from there.
