QuickGold: QuickSilver for iPhones, Launcher application!
![]() |

iPhone has various applications dedicated to various tasks, like audio, video games and so on. However, with such growing number off applications on you favorite iPhone and the luxury of having disk space to be able to afford such big number of application, it gets a little cumbersome to handle and launch such applications.
Think of this as growing number of applications in your windows operating system. After a while you feel a need to have a mechanism to launch these application with a combination of key strokes. Vista has a pretty good start menu search facility to cater to this need but in XP you are almost begging for a feature like this.
So the point I am trying to make is that with growing number of applications in iPhone you’d have a a scenario like that of Windows XP at some point of time. Windows XP however now has good number of third party softwares that you can use as launchers. We did a post on TNerd on various launchers available for Windows environment. You can find that post here.
A similar kind of service called QuickGold is available for iPhones (pwned iPhones). This kind of application will never be able to make it to Apple Store because of the restrictions and hence is only available for jailbroken iPhones. Think of this application as QuickSilver for iPhones.
I am sure a few smart searches will help you with various pwange tools and you’ll be able to use this application as an application launcher in your iPhone.
