Microsoft Paint to be revived in Microsoft Windows 7: Gets a ribbon!
Microsoft windows new operating system which is making a great lot of buzz in the blogsphere is teasing with new features. The launch date which has been roumored to have been advanced in July of 2009 would see a predessesor of windows vista. All the microsoft apllications including the IE is expected to have a ribbon interface. The famous ribbon was first launched in MS Office 2007.
Following this, Microsoft’s Paint is also on the track to get a major revamp. Following is a screenshot of MS paint which will be part of Microsoft Windows 7. It has a neat ribbon interface.
If you are wondering what’s with the convention of Windows 7. Well, prior to this there have been 6 major releases of Windows.
- Microsoft Windows 3
- Microsoft Windows 95
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft Windows ME
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Windows Vista
- Microsoft Windows 7
We hope to see more features in the next big OS from microsoft. And I always wanted a more revived Paint. Even notepad and wordpad are expected to get Ribbon interface.
