iGoogle Launches New Themes: Get yours now!

Google just doesn’t know how to stop and importantly when to stop. No! this is no negative post on Google’s vision, launch or strategy, rather it’s a post that will talk about Google just doesn’t get enough of launching features that users want. In a recent news for the official blog, Google has launched new themes for iGoogle. Google has launched themes for personal Google page which is popularly called as iGoogle.

It’s a great way to manage a lot of stuff and is one of the best personalized service I have come across. I however, don’t use it much because managing it on a daily basis is a little too difficult for someone like me who has close to 500 news feeds in his Google Reader and I make it a point to go through them (or rather scroll through most of them). For that matter I don’t use any other personalization services out there.

The new collection features designs from 28 leading artists from the worlds of fashion and music. This group is amazing, spanning a wide range of styles and genres: Radiohead and Gnarls Barkley used radiant colors; Gucci, Burberry, and Vera Wang illustrated beautiful patterns; and Bob Dylan and Celine Dion created an iconic look (of course). So depending on what you’re interested in, there’s lots of great art to choose from to suit your personality, taste or mood.

This time the themes are more focused on Music and Fashion. And google gives a justification by saying that we as a persons/people have a personality that gets affected a lot by clothes and music. Rightly so but according to me creating themes around music and fashion theme is more advantageous as these areas are popular than others lets say atomic science . Anyways, not taking away from Google’s persistent policy of giving best to it’s users, the move is pretty commendable as it creates a win-win situation for Google, users and designers!
