Download Google Chrome Google will soon release their first version of Web Browser called Chrome. The launch web cast is being aired live from Google Plex as I write this article. Click here to watch the the web cast now.[ENDED NOW]

The setup file you will initially download is of about 500KBs. The entire chrome browser package is sized around 7Mb’s. FireFox file size is around the same, 7 Mb where as the ever popular IE’s current version IE 8 Beta 2 stands at around 15 Mb.

Going by the size of these packages IE should be twice as good as Chrome and FireFox right?

Here you go.. just downloaded the browser.. a quick run through the installation screens…

First Screen:

Second screen checks if the FireFox is running and imports the setting, favorites and saved passwords. Passwords wont be imported if they are protected with a master password in FireFox

Screen 3 is the final screen which finishes the setup and launches the browser.

Launching Google Chrome for the first time.

Well, the initial reaction is that Chrome offers a huge surfing area unlike other browsers. Features like smart address bar and save password remind me of Firefox.
