An issue well handled. Thanks to Media Temple and Google!
As I mentioned in one of my previous post’s about FeedProxy Google 404 Server Not Found Error that we opted in for Adsense for Feeds program offered by Google, we made changes to our DNS information accordingly.
The entire process was _suppose_ to be smooth and painless but that wasn’t the case unfortunately. Our feed URL http://feeds.tnerd.com/TechnologyNerd (MyBrand) resulted in a 404 Server not found error, however, the original URL http://feedproxy.google.com/TechnologyNerd was still working as usual.
I filed a ticket with our wonderful hosting company MediaTemple. They followed up and tried out a few things at their end and suggested that everything was working fine from the hosting side and the issue is from Google side.
We contacted Google and to my surprise I recieved a reply in just couple of hours stating that our DNS information needs reset in Google systems. Frankly, I never expected a reply from Google but they did.. I was very impressed.
As you can see now feeds have started working again. We really appreciate Media Temple and Google for working with us to zero down on the issue and fix it.
