A blogger’s life is not as easy as it seems. She/He has to deal with various issues on a regular basis. Not to take away from the fact that smart bloggers are efficient in dealing with these issues. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is both a boon and bane. Boon because it’s a great way to manage your site and bane because if you don’t know how to handle it, it can be frustrating too.

In most cases the problem is at the end of FTP hosting site. The FTP Server can be down. In such cases you’ll have no choice but to contact your FTP Host. However, sometime the problem could be because you are not using a good FTP client. We have tried to compile a list of best free ftp clients also called as ftp softwares for windows platform.

1. FireFTP

I don’t think any blog post on FTP clients can miss having this wonderful extension listed in it. FireFTP is a Firefox FTP client and is also compatible with Flock. It’s an extension so you’ll have to install it. It’s my favorite way of FTP ing my files as it sits right into my browser. Works flawlessly. If I would think of donating money to some application developer for a great product, FireFTP will be the first one to receive the donation.

Close to 7 million downloads, FireFTP is the smallest FTP client in terms of size (0.5 MB). Because it runs inside Firefox OS and platform is not a concern.

2. FileZilla

FileZilla is another open source beauty is a fast and reliable cross-platform FTP, FTPS and SFTP client.

I can keep adding more to this list as there are already plenty of them avaialbe. But as I said, in most cases you should be satisfied and over-joyed using the first two.
