How to run multiple instances of GTalk! This is effortless.
![]() |
I do feel the need to run two instances of GTalk as one has my personal friends list and the other one pro (Tnerd.com’s Network).
I’ll keep this one short.. I tried a lot of other things to run two instances of GTalk.. but never thought they were worth mentioning, but this one is absolutely effortless and and does what it is suppose to.
Follow the steps to run two instances of GTalk client simultaneously:
- Locate the existing GTalk shortcut or icon (It should be on your desktop or start menu or quick menu).
- Once located, right click on the icon and click on "properties"
- In the "Target:" field at the end of the line, leave a space and type /nomutex at the end of the line (look at the image below)
- Click "OK"

Start running two instances of GTalk right away!
