Pwnage 2.0: iPhone 3G Jailbreak and Unlock Firmware 2.0
Pwnage 2.0 is released!! The unofficial, official blog of the iphone-deve team release its PwnageTool which jailbreaks and unlocks older iPhones and Jailbreaks iPhone 3Gs and iPod Touches. It currently supports the 2.0 firmware.
The announcement post received 2500+ comments, a wounded server and a mirror for download in kind gesture and several unofficial download locations. All of this happened in just 16 hours of the PwnageTool.
The current release of PwnageTool 2.0 only works on MAC so windows users will have to wait for a while. The tools seems to be working a great deal for most iPhone 3G users but does come with its crashes and screw-up’s, so good luck with it.
Before you try to use the latest PwnageTool 2.0 for your iPhone 3G, know that it does not unlock it just jailbreaks the phone, meaning that you can install third-party software but cannot use it with other networks.
