Indian Weather Forecasting Services
Have we (Indians) come to a stage where we look at the weather forecast before leaving for work or just leaving home? I guess not, but let’s look at a few services which will keep you updated with Indian weather forecast information.
There are a lot of ways to check weather in India and for cities in India few of them require a subscription, few require download but the best one if available for free and excellently easy to use.
imd.gov.in: I will start with the Indian Government site. INDIA METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT (imd.gov.in/). This site has a LOT of information but I personally don’t consider it to be a user-friendly website. But if you are looking for some detailed information for any city in India this is the place to come to else there are easier options available for use.
Weather.nic.in: National Weather Resource: Let’s start with our National Weather Resource System for India (http://weather.nic.in). This site has a lot of information but it shows current weather information for individual cities and towns on (WUnderground.com) which is an international weather site based out of US.
Weather.com: Another one on the list is weather.com which offers a software download for free weather forecast information. It also offers an upgrade membership which offers more information which is updated very frequently. This software sits on your
Google.com : My favourite is Google. Yes, Google also provides weather forecast by running a simple query. It does not require any download or registration all you have to do is type in the query in the following format. This information can also be added to your personalized page on Google.

Well, I don't look at the weather before moving to the office, but yes, I definitely like to check the forecast before leaving for a holiday trip. Just wanted to share here that http://www.travelindia-guide.com seems to be a nice site with all travel & weather related information.
