Scientists use technology to beat terrorism before it strikes
![]() |
Scientists in US are building a mechanized system that will help to detect terrorists even before they smack. This is being developed at the University of Buffalo.
This is how it works:
The system would start following the behavior of a person during interrogation and create a baseline data of the individual.
The system identifies the individual characteristics of a person like face, voice and other bodily processes among other things. This would further help authenticate the identity of a person against technically tested behavioral results.
Another important aspect of the system is to acquire a numerical score that would conclude whether an individual is about to consign a terrorist attack.
Though the system seems very effective and precise, researchers have cautioned that technology cannot be a substitute for human judgment.
