How to Setup Internet Radio Channel

For those of you who always dreamt of owning a radio stations someday but did not know how to setup one, you are at the right place. This article will help you setup your own Internet Radio and reach countless users on Internet.

There are lot of options for running a Live Radio on the Internet. There is Live365 which lets you run the radio but charges you for it, SHOUTcast is another service which lets you do the same but demands a painfully confusing configuration before you start, like wise I have tested a series of options and zeroed in on the cheapest and easiest to use product.

If you are European then you can choose from variety of radio licenses to start with and the ones which run without any license are generally known as “Pirate Radio”.

The software we will use to kick-start our own radio service is called “Pirate Radio”. All you have to do is buy this software set it up on your computer and make sure you computer is connected to the Internet. You can either select a list of MP3’s to be played on the radio or become a an Internet Jockey by selecting the MIC option which lets you talk and express yourself to all your subscribers.

Once the radio is up and running, users have to download a free media player offered by “Pirate Radio” called “Destiny media player” to subscribe and here to the radio on-line.
