YouTube does it the Grammy and Oscar style. We’ve seen (wannabe’s) Backstreet boys singing and shaking their heads violently before their webcams and many of them will remind you of the stars from the real music world, but these videos are are kinda cute and sometimes out of the box.

YouTube announced the Video awards for the first time and depending upon the response this will eventually become a yearly event.

The event will certainly bring lot of creative and talented people in the limelight and what this will also do, is bring millions of new user generated videos to YouTube, making YouTube the best and the largest video sharing site for decades to come.

Starting Monday, YouTube members can browse through the selected videos and rate them, voting closes on Friday and the Trophies will be handed out on March 26th. Videos will be available here http://www.youtube.com/YTAwards/ (Starting Monday).
