BarCamp Hyderabad: Invitation for Technology Enthusiasts
![]() |
Barcamp! A catchy name isn’t it?! Barcamp was started by a bunch of Geeks in Sillicon Valley who were not invited to an exclusive get together (this one was called FooCamp) organized by Tim O’reilly. That’s the history behind it.
I really thank O’Reilly for having done that (not invited the geeks who started it) which kicked off the "unconference" get together called Barcamp first in Sillicon Valley and then in rest of the world. BarCamp is currently hosted in close to 50 cities around the world and guess what! Hyderabad is one of them
. It is a session were the Geeks and Technology enthusiasts come together to discuss the latest technologies and the endless possibilities in this area.
Hyderabad has held not one but 2 BarCamp’s so far and the one scheduled on Dec-16th 2006 is the 3rd being hosted in Hyderabad. Theme of the upcoming Hyderabad BarCamp is "Consumer/Enterprise software opportunities around Web 2.0 communities" the speakers (volunteer to be one) and the participants will explore the options of the consumer and Enterprise software around the Web 2.0.
I invite anyone who is interested in knowing what the future holds in terms of online technology to attend this session of BarCamp. Click here to register for Hyderabad BarCamp3.
This is the first BarCamp I will attend and trust me I am thrilled.
