Save On-line MusicThousands of sites offer free on-line music. You can listen to songs on-line, but cannot them (pity).  I always searched for sites which offered free music downloads, found a couple but they do not have what I want. What I want is not available for downloads but available for listening on-line. So the next logical thinking would be “How do I save the songs playing on-line?”

Search the following keywords on Google or any other search engine:
record from "sound card"
“sound card” recorder

If you don’t know what to download from the search results, make no mistake, click on the sponsored links on the right side of the page.

I downloaded the following two software’s

These software’s are not a freeware, however you can use them for a while on trial basis.

Steps to /MP3’s  from the Internet

  1. Install the software
  2. Get to the setting or options section of the software, search for sound source and select “Mono Mixer” or “Stereo Mixer” and save the settings
  3. Visit any MP3 site and start playing the song and hit the “record” button on any of the sound recording software’s installed on your computer.

Now nothing can stop you from recording music from sites like Yahoo Music, Raaga.com and many more similar sites.
Well that was easy isn’t it? If you know an easier way of recording songs off the Internet do let us know!

Free Sound Recorder doesn't work! The 'volume'and 'balance' is set to zero and cannot be increased though the record button works. So what you get is an excellent copy of total silence!

    Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for leaving a comment. I downloaded the latest version of Free Sound Recorder to test it again.. and it works perfectly for me.

I did test and record sound coming off the sound card, so it works.

Following image shows the software in action.. this link should help you run the software correctly.. check it out.
