Nokia takes social networking to the mobile industry. Nokia released an application called "Sensor" in the last quarter of 2005 but not many people are aware of this technology.

Once this application is installed (it can be installed only on Bluetooth enabled phones) on the phone it lets you create up to 5 pages with your information on it which can be easily updated. A phone with sensor can search other phone with Bluetooth enabled and equipped with the same software. Once the Bluetooth scans the area of other phones with Sensor, will show you a list of phones with Sensor enabled. You can contact the other person without knowing their phone number by just sending them a Sensor text message.

This is a great way of being seen and yet be anonymous if you are not comfortable. Click here to download Nokia Sensor.
