Digg.com has been in lot of controversies lately, first for buying and selling diggs on the site and influencing the natural flow and defeating the democracy concept of the site, secondly the site getting slower by the day and, thirdly, the site is down since a while now. It think it has got something to do with the site being slower by the day. There have been occasions where I have to wait for over 40-50 seconds for the front page to load and just to let u know I am on T3 connection.

That could just be one reason the other reason could be, that they are making changes to the existing database and the flow of the site to stop all the manipulations which are taking place lately.

As a loyal Digg user I truly hope that Digg remains to be the gateway to the knowledge and bring stuff that we never heard off or even thought off!

Good Luck from a loyal Digg user!
