Hotmail’s Co-Founder, Sabeer Bhatia Kicks off a new project “Nano City”

Sabeer BhatiaHotmail’s co-founder, is all set to kick off his new project “Nano City” near Chandigarh-India. This is a new addition to a long list of startups after was acquired by in December 1997. His other known startups are Blogeverywhere.com, VoiFi Technology, Navin Communications, Arzoo.com etc.

Haryana’s Finance Minister Birender Singh announced that will kick off his new project “Nano City” or “Knowledge-City” near Chandigarh in collaboration with the Haryana Government.

has gone a step ahead from working on new technologies and making it available on the internet to providing the means and the infrastructure for the new entrepreneurs to setup their startups and build new technologies from Drugs research and nanosciences to embedded software development and energy.

The project is estimated at $10 Billion initially however Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) said the final figures will be release once the detailed project plan is ready.

This project is expected to create lot of jobs and add to the worlds second fastest growing economy in the world, first being China.
